Voting for Next Top CU Exec Starts Tomorrow

Applications to become the next top credit union executive have closed, and tomorrow the voting begins.
There are 41 applicants from across the country for the CUES/Currency Marketing Next Top Credit Union Executive campaign, www.nexttopcreditunionexec.com.
Tomorrow visitors to the site will be able to fill out a ballot to vote for their favorite from each geographic region. The applicant with the highest votes in each of the six regions will become a finalist.
“We expected we would get a lot of marketers and a lot of social media experts, but we got a really good mix of applicants,” said Tim McAlpine, president and creative director at Currency Marketing. “Its unearthed a lot of neat stories that normally people wouldn’t hear about.”
Voting for the finalists will end June 14, and the six finalist will then contribute two blog posts and one video per month on the progress of their projects. Each finalist will then receive a package to attend the CUES’ CEO/Executive Team Network conference in November and present his or her project to the judging panel.
Barb Kachelski, senior vice president/chief information officer at CUES, said that since there is such a large number of talented applicants, CUES is working on a way to feature individuals that weren’t selected as finalists so they can still get recognition and share knowledge.
