CUES' Next Top Credit Union Exec Hunt Begins
Credit Union Times | By Myriam DiGiovanni
It's that time of year again when the credit union industry begins the search for the CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive.
CUES has partnered again with Currency and sponsor DDJ Myers to honor emerging credit union leaders aged 35 and under.
All applicants will receive a free one-year CUES NextGen Membership and the top 15 will receive an executive coaching session from DDJ Myers. Those making it to the final five will receive two additional remote coaching sessions and accomodations/airfare to attend and present at the CUES CEO/Executive Team Network.
The winner will receive further coaching, airfare, accommodation and registration for two CUES CEO Institutes, one in 2016 and one in 2017, a total prize package valued at $20,000.
Here's how it works.
Nominations are being accepted from May 20 to June 5.
Then, by July 13, candidates will complete an application form and submit a short video and blog post about their project idea, which should advance their credit union or the industry.
The competition then opens to the public July 15 through July 30 to narrow the field to 15. The 10 applicants with the most votes will move on and a panel will select the remaining five to round out the Top 15.
From there, the Top 15 will submit an additional blog post that provides an update on their projects. They will be scored by judges, who will identify the final five. The finalists will face off at the CUES CEO/Executive Team Network inScottsdale, Ariz., in November, and the finalist with the highest score based on judges’ scores, audience votes, online votes, and social media interaction will be named 2015 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec.
