Synopsis: My goal is to develop an internship program for high school and college students that integrates all of the key learning elements of the credit union system and its operations.
I believe that such a program would be invaluable to credit unions across the country that would like to reach out to this audience. This approach is really a win-win for both the student and the credit union. The student gains critical business and professional skills. The credit union gains a fresh set of eyes, insight into the financial needs of this demographic and an opportunity to spread the message of the credit union movement.
