I’m almost on my way!

Reading materials are printed.   Pencils are sharpened (yes, I’m old school in that way).   When August 17th rolls around, I’ll be ready to attend the first week of the CUES CEO Institute Program! 

… at least I’m hoping I will be!  I’ll be leaving at 6AM on Saturday, August 15th and hope to arrive in Philadelphia by midnight.  Yes, I live THAT far away.  By Monday, I should have had a good night’s rest – so I don’t have any excuse not to be ready.

As you can imagine, I’m excited to absorb as much as possible from the exceptional Wharton Executive Education instructors and knowledgeable Credit Union executives/future leaders I will work with throughout the week.   I’m very grateful to have been given this world-class opportunity.  Very few “prizes” are structured quite like the one I received after the Next Top Credit Union Executive (NTCUE) competition.  The opportunity to participate in two weeks of the CEO Institute program and work toward the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation without any personal cost incurred is unreal.  It is one of those prizes that will continue to deliver over the years and probably for the rest of my life. 

I’m also excited to meet up with some of the individuals I met at the CEO/Executive Team Network event in Florida last November.  For example, fellow NTCUE participant Noel Sanger will also be attending the first week of the CEO Institute.  He’s had tremendous success since the NTCUE competition ended and I’ll be happy to meet up with him again!

Thank you again, CUES, for this wonderful opportunity!  I can’t wait to share how it went!
