Momentum

I’ve officially been writing for my Financial MOMentum blog (my first project) for two months now and I’m really enjoying it! I was nervous at first; nervous that I wouldn’t have enough stories and tips to share. But now I find myself frequently jotting down ideas or sending myself different ideas and thoughts that pop into my head throughout the day (and sometimes at night). Of course my kids provide great stories, but it’s also been so great being inspired by our members, my family and friends to keep the blog fodder going…and going!

And as the title of the blog infers, I’m slowly (but surely) building momentum behind the blog — and look forward to hearing more stories, tips and questions from readers. If you’re reading this now, I hope you’ll take a couple of seconds to click the link above and let me know what topics you would like to see, or as parents, what keeps you up at night! Eventually the goal is to create dialogue among a community of parents seeking to make their family’s’ financial futures as bright as possible.

We’re also building a lot of momentum behind my second project – the Women’s Association of Credit Union Leaders (WACUL). As you know, we had our second meeting in August and are busy planning for our October meeting. (You’ll hear more about that in my next post.) We’ve received great media attention from The Missouri Credit Union Association “Missouri Difference” as well as the Credit Union Times. All of this exposure, coupled with this contest, is generating great interest in the organization and we’re eager to realize the bright future we envisioned for WACUL and it’s growing list of participants!

I also want to congratulate my fellow contestants as they experience momentum on their projects as well! I look forward to hearing about all of your projects in November.
