The judges have been announced!

The judges for the Next Top Credit Union Exec have been announced: Peter Paulson, president/CEO, Corporate America Family Credit Union in Elgin, Ill.; Jan Rose, president/CEO, E&A Credit Union in Port Huron, Mich.; and Greg Smith, CEO, PSECU in Harrisburg, Pa. Each judge has a CUES Advancing Management Group Membership, which allows an unlimited number of employees at their credit union to enjoy CUES member benefits.

Judges are responsible for keeping up to date on the projects each of the five finalists are reporting on, and for viewing the final presentations with a critical eye toward the criteria of creative thinking, content/idea, and style. Each finalist will be given 10 minutes to recap their project in the presentation face-off event at CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network™ in Las Vegas, November 6–9, 2011.

According to Peter Paulson, “New leaders need to be given an opportunity to develop their skills. They need mentors, they need permission to fail, and they need to receive constructive feedback. This competition allows future leaders to showcase their talent and grow their skills.”

The judging panel is just one of the ways the finalists’ presentations on Monday, November 7, will be evaluated. Audience members at the conference will be able to vote for their favorite on-the-spot, and the public will also be able to vote online on November 8. The finalist with the highest score based on audience and online votes, as well as the judging panel results, will earn the title of Next Top Credit Union Exec.

The CUES Team
