Chad Huseby Named One of Five Finalists for the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec Challenge
Servus Credit Union
Chad Huseby, branch manager at Servus Credit Union’s Delburne Branch, has been named one of the five finalists for the Credit Union Executive Society’s Next Top Credit Union Exec Challenge.
The challenge asks applicants to submit a short video about an innovative project they’ve worked on at the credit union.
Chad worked with the RCMP to develop a positive ticketing program at the Delburne, Elnora and Three Hills branches. The program encourages RCMP constables to issue Positive Tickets to youth when the constables observe them doing positive things in their communities like helping others or simply following the rules like wearing their bike helmets.
In two years, over 300 tickets have been given to youth in the areas.
“The RCMP say they like the program because it helps build rapport with the youth, and their parents, in the community,” Chad says. “And it allows us to strengthen our commitment to the communities where we live and work.”
For this part of the challenge, Chad will present his idea to credit union executives from across North America from November 3 to 6 in San Diego. If he’s successful, Chad will receive further coaching, airfare, accommodation and registration for two CUES’ CEO institutes, a total prize package valued at $20,000.
